About Us

Celebrating 43 years of creating Abundance in Community!

Mission Statement

Common Ground provides education and resources to support the local community in growing gardens sustainably through the cultivation of edible and native plants, which facilitate access to fresh nutritious food while maintaining a healthy planet.

Our Relationship to Ecology Action

Common Ground is a project of Ecology Action, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting the GROW BIOINTENSIVE®; method of sustainable agriculture. Under the direction of John Jeavons, author of How to Grow More Vegetables, Ecology Action has researched and promoted Biointensive agricultural methods worldwide since 1972.

For mail order seeds and supplies check out our sister organization Bountiful Gardens which sells untreated open-pollinated non-GMO seed of heirloom quality for vegetables, herbs, flowers, grains, green manures, compost and carbon crops. Offering many varieties as Certified Organic, Natural, Biointensive or GROW BIOINTENSIVE® sustainable seed.

Contributions are tax-deductible; we greatly appreciate your donations and participation!
